Laminate flooring uses a tongue and groove system to create an interlocking floor that “floats” on any level subfloor. Prior to flooring installation, the subfloor is covered with a polyurethane pad to prevent the laminate from sticking. After installation, glue is applied to the tongue and groove joints to improve the finished floor’s moisture resistance.


Laminates consist of several layers including a hard core, a special backing, a printed finish and a resin coating. Laminate flooring installations are easy to take care of and come in a range of styles, colors and patterns that create great looking, durable finished floors.
